Changing oil warm or cold?
warm on all my motors, always heard it helps you get more of the old oil out. +1 on the rags under the filter, it works every time..let me add not scalding after a 3 hour ride...cause thats just stupid...
I saw a pic on another CBR forum where a guy made a V-shaped trough that he put under the filter which diverted the oil away from the headers, fairing, etc., and right into the catch pan. No need for rags or anything to wipe off any mess since there wasn't any.

right now the survey has a 35:2 ratio of warm/hot to cold - While it's not a huge sample, it is random, and it is a significant answer. Most of us warm our bikes up to some degree before changing the oil.
I've done many studies on human behavior, testing, polls, etc. and there are tons of variables that need to be controlled which are beyond the scope of this poll. Social desirability certainly comes to mind.

But.... but for all intensive purposes people generally change oil when it's warm.
By golly, that's the one. I'm on too many CBR / Fireblade / 1000RR forums for me to keep track of where I saw what.
