Changing coolant
What is the best way to change the coolant, I dont see any kind of drainage plug for the radiator...
I was just going to pull the hoses, but that could get dirty. I want to flush the whole system, as the bike
has been sitting for a while and the coolant seemed to have degrades or something because it gets hot
very fast, after warm up and riding up and down the street.
How do I remove the overflow tank? the bottom of it has accumalated some silt and gunk that I dont want in the
radiator.
I think I could also benifit from a new thermostat and water wetter. Any other recommendation or suggestions?

Most bikes have a drain bolt on the water pump. Some will also have a drain bolt on the cylinder block.
The overflow tank is just bolted on. You'll need to remove the necessary fairings and body parts to get access to it.
Why do you think you need a new thermostat??
Are you looking to use Water Wetter with water or with antifreeze? Water Wetter works best with water but you may not be able to use that all year long depending on where you live.

The best way to start is to pull the radiator off the bike and take a water hose and nozzle and wash it out real good. I have talked to the radiator shops in my area and they can't be cleaned like a car's radiator because they are aluminum. While your in that area make sure your not having any leaks and go ahead and replace the thermostat it can't hurt. When you start putting the fluid back in,just put about a quart in and then crank your bike and slowly pour in more.If you watch while your filling you should be able to see a stream of fluid shooting across the top where you are pouring the fluid and you should be able to tell that way if the water pump is still good or not.
