Changing Coolant??
First start by gathering all the neighborhood cats around... jk. It really is a time consuming chore. I would suggest that you have plenty of time to kill and start be taking everything apart to get at it because there is not a "service" accessible anything. Then find the hose at the lower end to the radiator disconnect it to drain it, fill with water to flush and cycle through the system. Cork it all back up and fill it up. Do make sure that you collect and catch as much as possible to be as enviromentally sensitive as you can. Here kitty, kitty, kitty.
Its really not all that time consuming. It took me about an hour I'd say to flush mine. Take off a lower radiator hose and drain it that way, then take off your overflow if there is any in there and pour that out. Run some water through to get the remainder out. Plug everything back together and fill with the engine ice. Let it run till the engine is completely warm with the radiator cap off to purge any air, fill the radiator back to the top again and top your overflow tank to somewhere between the min / max lines. Easy DIY job.

You guys are talking about running Engine Ice with distilled water, right? I don't think you can run straight Engine Ice.

did mine last night, took about an hour and did it according to the manual using the drain bolt on the water pump. I tried to drain the cylinder heads using the head drain bolt but it's almost impossible to get to unless you take off the headers, so I just drained, flushed with water, and refilled. To purge air let it warm up for 2 or 3 minutes without the rad cap on and then crack the throttle two or three times to bleed all the air.

Yikes! I don't know if I'd recommend warming it up without the radiator cap. It will at least spill out all over the place as the fluid expands. It might even launch out, causing burns, etc.
Fill up the radiator and put the cap back on. Fill the overflow bottle to the top line. Let the bike warm up to about 185 degrees, this is about where the thermo opens up. You'll be able to tell by watching the temp gauge, it will get to about 185 and then quickly drop back down to the low 170s. This means the thermo opened. Watch the overflow bottle to see how low the fluid gets and add more to the overflow bottle as needed.
yeah run the bike without the rad cap on then snap the throttle a few times once it has warmed up. it won't go everywhere. its how you are supposed to bleed the air out, as duck says its straight out of the service manual.
