I usually fill the oil filter with fresh oil before I screw it on. I dunno, maybe it's a no brainer like you didn't screw the filter on enough and it's leaking or you left the plug out....not meaning to insult you or anything, but I've seen all sorts of things that make you go "DUH".

MAKE SURE TO CHECK YOUR OIL LEVEL IT MAY JUST NEED TO BE TOPPED OFF, ALSO IF YOU HAVE A DIPSTICK AS AN OIL LEVEL CHECK DO NOT SCREW IT IN JUST PLACE IT ON TOP OF THE FILLER HOLE AND CHECK WITH THE BIKE LEVEL.

yeah pull the oil filter and see if there is any oil in the filter. if not fill it up and try it again.i allways run Lucas oil additive in mine so there is no dry starts.

Thanks everyone. I pulled the filter and it was bone dry. cranked the engine and had no pressure. I was running out of ideas so i put the bike in gear, pulled in the clutch and rolled it forward alittle bit and then cranked it and had oil pressure! dont know what would cause this... maybe oil pumps on the way out. Thanks for help.
