Default chain rubs

i had a question... i cleaned and lubed my chain yesterday and i noticed there is a grove where the chain touches like in front of the chain guard i guess its kinda on the swing arm... if anyone knows what im talking about i was just wondering if this was normal or not or if my chain is too loose. it doesnt seem like there is too much play in it but im kinda new to this. thanx for your help.

If its wot I think your your talking about, its the Chain Slider indicator, its usually covered in chain crud, but under it all it has a wear indicator on it that tells you when it has to be replaced.

touching is somewhat normal. remember, when you are riding, the tension is on the top of the chain, so it wont be rubbing. but you really should check your chain slack often. the directions should be right there on the swingarm.

and what, are we out of screennames already? wtf does your screenname say?
