Cbr600 f2 seized engine after carb sync need info
I was syncing the carbs f2 was running as it should and has fresh oil. I got them all synced up after about 50mins of running. Bike sat for 5 hours I went to start the bike and it seems that the engine seized up. I was able to free it up by rocking the wheel back and forth in second gear it was able to turn over after that but the battery died so I couldn't get it to start. Should I empty the oil and see if there's metal in it? Or could it have just got way to hot from the carb sync since I was in a hot garage? Help is always welcome thanks.
I don't think it's a bad idea to drain the oil. If it did seize you will need fresh oil in it anyway.
when you are syncing the bike can get hot but the radiator fan should have done enough to cool things down unless it was super hot. Some people put a box fan in front of the bike to help with that.
