Hiya guys!

I have been working my way around my "new" bike to replace and repair whatever needed my attention..

It has come to the frontsprocket and that is actually the last piece i need to get overwith before i can take the bike out onto the road again.

The centrebolt looks like it has been "Stabbed" into place by some previous owner, and im not quite sure of how to approach this correctly without ruining the driveshaft or any bearings/seals along with it...



Does anyone have any good idea on how to approach/remove this bolt the best way, and in what direction it is threaded..

I'd use something like this to remove your bolt :-

LASERTOOLS DAMAGED NUT AND BOLT REMOVER 9 - 20MM 10PC SET REMOVE NEW | eBay

The bolt is threaded normally as far as I can remember. A problem you may have though is locking the transmission in order to loosen the bolt. Normally this would be done with the chain still in place so you can use the brake to stop everything spinning.
