okay so yesterday i took my 2006 cbr 600rr for a ride. I knew the battery was getting low but it started right up no problem so i didnt get a new battery yet. i took it for about a 10 mi ride to the bank. turned it off and went into the bank. when i came back out tried to start it the battery didnt have enough to start it. so i kept trying and nothing happened. then the last time i tried it i accidently left the bike lights on and the bike was completly dead. so i went to the store and got a new battery 100% charged and put it in. still no lights or dash lights came on. Can anyone tell me whats going on?
did you charge the battery? some new batteries dont come charged. if it is charged, check your fuses, 30a main fuse in particular. after you get it started, check your charging voltages to make sure its good.

I bought a new battery for my 1000f this spring. It started great, but then, after a short ride 15 minutes or so, I stopped at a store. When I came out the bike would not start. It turned out that I had the leads connected; but the screw that holds the lead to the battery was not all the way tight. (mine was actually loose). After I tightened the lead with a phillips that I always have in the tank bag, the bike started and has been fine ever since. Just a thought.
