Default causes of speed wobble??

tonight i got it 3 or 4 times, never had this issue before so i know it wasnt just the front wheel coming up in 2nd. its only at high speeds. i took it out for the first time since i came down super hard from a standup and put a hole in the radiator, so im going to assume i damaged just one fork, but it doesnt seem akward handeling. any input??

My old bike had a high speed front end wobble that was caused by the REAR tire being way out of balance.

forgot about the rear until you mentioned it, i did let the pressure down to 25psi to practice standups, could that cause it?

^^^i say try that first. At least this way you can start ruling out problems if this doesn't help

haha, they are all good roads though. florida takes care of their highways. after i figure out where my short is in my radiator fan circuit ill put air in it and test it out.

anyway, fixed the radiator fan, put air in the tire. seems to do it less, or maybe i compensate because i know its coming. but it just seems like the front end is barely on the ground at XXX speeds. i dont think having a naked bike would cause that much.

loose or worn steering head ,and swingearm bearings are another comon cause. tire balance.
low rear tire psi should not be a cause. drag racers run low psi all the time.

idk i put the tire pressure back up to 35 and it pretty much stopped. it just feels like the front end wants to come up at high speed. i know my head bearings are getting egg shaped from all my practicing on one wheel though. i have tapered bearings in my toolbox i just have to stop being lazy

Sounds like the head bearings need to be changed as soon as you can get around to it and 35psi for the rear tyre seems a bit too low. Mine runs on 42psi. The front has 36psi. Check with you handbook for correct pressures. Running on the wrong/low pressures could land you in casualty! lol!
