Default carb trouble on 2000 F4

I am having a problem with the bike bogging out when I give it gas. Outside of cleaning the carbs anything I should look for or try. I have the carbs sitting on my work bench now.
Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Double-check, clean and grease pack the connectors on the harness. A lot of performance
issues are the result of the harness being the weak-link. Even if it's not the
main-problem, you'll never regret the time spent.

Fuel-filter and pet-**** filters, also come to mind.

Mind you, these are all pretty generic and yet, good things to check, issues aside.
Inexpensive, as well.

Other-wise, sounds like you're heading in the right direction. Just a word of advice on
the carb cleaning...Don't use a wire or anything to "poke" the jets, you might damage
them. Instead, soak them at least 15 to 20 minutes and use compressed air. If you
don't have ready access to a compressor, go to office supply and get some canned-air
for cleaning computer parts.

Good luck and have FUN, or what's the point to wrenching?

Thanks Ern I will check all my connections.
I have been working on this bike all winter to get it ready for my trackday that is now just over a week away. Now that the body work is all done I am hoping that this last min problem doesn't hold me up.
I will let you know how I make out.
Thanks for your help.

Ern
Thanks for the tips I cleaned the carbs and checked the connections and also put dielectic grease on them. The bike now runs like new again.
I spent the entire day out in the shop and flushed the brake lines with new fluid. She is complete now.
Took it up and down the road to test it out and ended up putting about 8 miles on it. Not bad for a bike that is not leagal.

I can't wait to get to Jenning's GP down in Florida on the 9th. i am going to run the 9th and the 10th. The 9th is a closed trackday to the CBR1100XX.org club we have about 30 of us that rent the track for the day and give it hell. Saturday the 10th is an open day so we dont get quit as much time in but it is still great to get out there in early March.
Tomorrow I will take a few pics of my bike and post them up after I wash all the dust off of it.

Thanks again for your help.
Stefan
