Default brake pads too tight?

I bought some new brake pads and just installed the fronts. They seemed a bit tight but not having changed pads on a Honda before I wasn't sure if this is normal. They don't seem to fit very well. In attempting to break them in, the front end almost seized entirely within a tenth of a mile due to the tight fit and related heat. I doubt this is normal... has anyone else experienced this?

Solution? Buy Honda pads?

Nevermind, the solution is to buy the right pads. They sent the wrong ones... almost identical except these are VERY slightly thicker.

Default RE: brake pads too tight?

just an FYI...the rotors will drag on the pads a bit when installed...so don't freak when you get the right pads in there and it's not free spinning.
