Brake pad?
So I'm new to cycles. My pads are close to replacing.
What kind should I get? What are your views and opnions?
kevlar organic
Carbon Kelvar
semi metallic
Ceramic
Sintered iron
I perfer ceramic pads on my cars, last longer, less dust, hardly any noise or chatter.
Thanks Vinman

OEM work the best for all around duty. I have Vesrah's on my RC51 and they work decently on the street, but they're track oriented so they're not as good in the rain or when cold as OEM. I've also heard good things about Carbone Loraines (sp?).
Skip the EBC pads and most "race" compounds if you're planning on heavy street duty. Although EBCs tend to work decently when you use their rotors, they will hamper braking ability when using OEM rotors. Lots of race teams who have EBC sponsorship stickers on their bikes tend to not even use their pads for a reason.

Yuppers on the OEM. Competitively priced and if you aren't experienced enough, yet,
to already have an opinion, you'll be well satisfied. Realistically, the track is the only
place, where you really need to start weighing your options.

I've tried using some of the aftermarket pads to try to save a buck or two. Not worth it. I've found that they squeak, they don't stop as well as OEM, and they're dirtier. My wife's yellow wheels show the brake dust a lot more. As soon as they're worn enough I'll be switching back to OEM.
