Default Brake light wont turn off`

Hi everyone,
I recently installed a tail tidy on my 2017 CBR500RA, and now the rear brake light won't turn off.
This is the tail tidy I installed
Oggy Knobbs Honda CB500R 16-20 Fender Eliminator (Black)
I spliced it in using these plugs. I wrapped it all in tape and have a good seal.

Everything works fine on the tail tidy, but now the brake light stays on.
I have tried the following:
  1. I checked the fuse (all good)
  2. unplugged the light from the tail tidy and plugged the brake light back in (light stays on)
  3. got the rear brake spring moving smoothly
  4. checked the front brake level sensor, and although it doesn't always align, it is working.
My next thought is to pull out the wiring and check for a short?
Do I need a resister in the licence plate light because I went to LED?

Bit of a noob here so any ideas would be helpful.

When I say it is working I mean, It is disengaged on the leaver but the light is still on.

Either your switch is stuck, front or rear, or your wiring is incorrect. unplug both switches and see if it stays on.
