That's a pretty big leak. I don't think the water pump would leak that quickly. You could pinch the hoses with clamps/vice grips and add water again to see if it holds.

Did the water level reach the head gasket?

Drain all the water and add slowly, noting where the water level reaches when it comes out.

I don't know if it reached the head gasket, probably put a half gallon in before it started coming out the first time. The video was the second time. I'm not sure how to observe the water level. Any tips on that? I can see a quarter inch or so of water sitting in the oil pan looking through the crank case in the right side of the engine.

Jeebus!

Have you done a compression test?

Anyway -

You know what they say about assumptions...

Get the oil cooler off of there and see what's up. Water pump too.

I have not done a compression test yet, I will plan on doing that next.

I pulled the water pump last night and it appeared to be fine, not cracks or anything. I'll pull the oil cooler as well, no more assumptions on my part! haha

I’ve ruled out the water pump at this point, clamped the hoses and it held water. Next up is replacing the oil cooler seals, then a compression test. I’ll definitely report back.

Thanks man, haha yeah it’s a mattress under a little climbing wall I built in there.

Which hoses did you clamp off?

I clamped the large hose going to the oil cooler and the two smaller hoses coming off the water pump.

Did water make it into the engine block?

If you took the pump out of the circuit and it held, then the pump could be leaking. You could remove the pump and unclamp the hoses and watch it leak....or not.

Does the cooler feed hose isolate the cooler? I have a different set up, so I'm unsure of your cooler's routing.
