blowing fuses?

Default blowing fuses?

was riding my cbr when all the sudden the bike shut down. I checked the fuse an it was blown so i replaced it and it blew again. checked for frayed wires ,nothing ,cant figure it out need some help what do u think?

Definitely a short where current is flowing directly to ground. Looking for pinched or damaged wires between the seat and frame, or gas tank and frame is a good start. If the wires look good, you will have to get a ($10) Self-Powered Test Light (Continuity Tester). Use the instructions to find which wire or component contains the short.

You could have a dead short in the rectifier.

does it blow as soon as you put a new one in? or does it not blow till you switch the ignition on?, if its the latter it's not the rectifier

Similar thing happend to me. Bike shut down on the freeway, blown fuse. Replaced the voltage regulator, no problem since.
