Whatresistance do you usually use for the these. I am installing them this weekend on my buddies R1can probably canfind out by testing the resistance of an LED and the resistance of the stockturn and signal and doing the math. I am sure I can get the right resistor at radio shack or something close. But if you guys have already done it you help is useful.

Nope, the load changes which end up effecting the charge time of the relay...if the relay is a classic mechanical or thermal relay (these make the click click sound we're used to hearing in cars/trucks)--then by theory you're introducing more cycles per minute and therefore reducing the life span of the relay, but probably not a noticable amount. In other words, there's moving parts, subject to wear and tear.

Most of the newer bikes will most likely have solid state "relays" which don't have moving parts at all--so the increased flash rate wouldn't effect squat.

If some freak thing happened related to the aftermarket lights, or your relay freaks out, your fuse(s)should pop before any real damage occurs.
