Whatresistance do you usually use for the these. I am installing them this weekend on my buddies R1can probably canfind out by testing the resistance of an LED and the resistance of the stockturn and signal and doing the math. I am sure I can get the right resistor at radio shack or something close. But if you guys have already done it you help is useful.

Most of the newer bikes will most likely have solid state "relays" which don't have moving parts at all--so the increased flash rate wouldn't effect squat.
If some freak thing happened related to the aftermarket lights, or your relay freaks out, your fuse(s)should pop before any real damage occurs.
