Default Bike will not charge up battery

OK, I was riding my bike today and shut it off in a parking lot. I went to start the bike back up and then it had a dead battery. I had some friends push start me and it fired up. I rode for prob. 1 hour and shut the bike off again and then the battery was still dead. I thought maybe the battery just went bad so when I got home I put the battery in my roommates r1 and push started his and drove it around and it charged the battery up just fine. What is wrong with my bike?[/align]

Sounds like you have a faulty regulator.

Next time you push start it, check the voltage at the battery at Idle and then check it aat about 4000rpm. That should help diagnose the problem. But Pacemaker and Slugger are probably right so checking the voltage is probably a waste of time. The only other thing is a bad ground or some other loose wire.
