Bike stalls out when warm. HELP
Hey guys,
I started having this problem today. My 2003 600 F4i will start fine and act completely normal until the engine gets warm and I pull in the clutch to stop at a light and then the engine dies. The bike has been sitting for a little over 2 weeks with some race gas/93 octane in the tank ( I mention this because I did here it was bad to leave race gas in the tank but I figured it was such a small amount that it would not do anything). I was told that I might have bad gas but I find it hard to believe because the bike ran fine before it was parked. I thought maybe somebody might have turned the idle all the way down on me but then I realized that it starts and runs fine until the bike warms up. Could this be a bad temperature switch? I should also mention that the bike does have a full Micron Serpent System exhaust and a PCIII programable Power Commander. I have questioned if the temperature switch was working properly for a while now because the radiator fan does not kick on until the gauge reads around 225 degrees and I thought it was supposed to come on arround 210 degrees. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks alot!!!

RE: Bike stalls out when warm. HELP
Always go for the most obvious, if it was running fine before you put that stuff in your bike, then sure as, its gotta be related. Put in some new fuel, see wot happens. If no improvement then check plugs, air filters & the like, could even be gummed up fuel injectors. Inherent problems that effect the motor are usual apparent from the get go. As for your bike thermostat, as long as its not in red zone, then alls well. good luck
