Hey guys!

I have a 03 600rr and there is a problem. Bike starts really good in nuetral, but once i put it it in 1st gear it dies even when clutch still pressed. It ran really good before today and bike only has 950miles on it. Battery is new and no other diffects that i know off. What could it be?

 

Might be your sidestand mounted neutral switch. Check to make sure it is actuallyconnected and that there is no corrosion or breaks in the wiring.

 

sounds about right. the kickstand sensor might not be fully engaging that the kickstand is up. of course, to add the smarta** comment.... the kickstand is up right?

HAHAHA! It took me 15 minutes in the dealer parking lot to figure out WTF was wrong when I first bought my bike. I bet they were laughing their asses off.
