going down the road last night my f3 started sputtering and then shut off. would start back up thers gas in the tank and its not on reserve. i was thinking possibly that i need to change to fuel filter but was seeing if anyone else had an idea of what it might be

 

It would or would not start back up? Sounds like the carbs ran out of gas. Could be a pinched line or the vaccuum tube going to the petcock was kinked, and the fuel stopped pumping to the carbs.

 

If your bike shut off and you still have gas in it but its not on reserve than switch it to reserve!! The F3 isnt going to switch automatically to reserve, Thats why they put that little black **** on the left side of the bike.

 

I didn't even catch that. I assumed that he switched to reserve. I guess I should remember what happens when you assume....
