Bike dies when I put it in gear?
I rode my bike to the mailbox last night and went to leave, when I put the bike in gear it died. The bike starts fine and sounds great, but when I put it in gear to pull of it dies. (it even kindof makes a grinding noise like the clutch is not in all the way) It has a brand new clutch. Could it need adjusted? Someone on here recomended that it could be the kickstand switch?
Definately sounds like the switch, or your clutch is so out of adjustment that put it in gear with the lever in ( and it being out of adjustment) is like clicking it in gear without pulling the lever at all...but that would make the bike lurch forward.
If it is just dying immediately, it should be the kickstand switch

Defo the switch, happened to me before, can be tempremental - sometimes ok sometimes rubbish, either new switch needed or disconnect that one. Make sure the back wheel spins with the clutch pulled in and the bike in gear - just to check the clutch
