Default Battery tender during season?

Was wondering if anyone uses their battery tender even though they ride regularly / daily? Is there any benefit to doing so?

PO gave me his tender when he sold me the bike. To test it, I plugged up my bike. It's been charging for almost 7 hours now. Which seems strange since I've been riding damn near every day since I got her.

I have a few friends that use them whenever they are not riding. Others that only use them if the bike is going to be sitting for a week or more.

Me, I don't even use one. I never have. The only thing I do as far as maintaining the battery is riding the bike in the summer, and removing the battery in the winter and bringing it in the house. I know there are better ways to take care of the battery, but I have over 5 years on the factory battery, so Im not too concerned with it. Until it doesnt start on me that is...

I think the main benifit of the tender comes in because most people do not ride their bike as everyday transportation, and it allows the battery to stay at its optimum, and allows the battery to last longer. But for those that ride often, like more than 2 times a week, Im not sure how much benefit there is to one.

But one things for sure. It couldn't hurt to plug it in all the time.

I have a Battery Tender Jr that I hook up whenever I'm done riding for the day, even if I know I'll be going out again the next day. A co-worker says he's been doing that with his motorcycle batteries and claims he gets 5 years out of them that way.

I have a little pigtail that came with the charger, which I routed under the seat cowl, and it makes it easy to connect to the battery each evening.

Well I haven't had any problems with my bike or its battery. Starts with a single press, idles strong. Just like I said, I had this plug doohickey thingy in a plastic grocery bag and figured better to test it now than when I need it

Since using it requires me to park my bike at the front door with the cord into the living room, I doubt it'll be a daily thing

I use it all the time on my car and bike battery's. Its healthy to keep them at optimum voltage. Keeps the battery strong and helps start ups.

I hook up my battery tender to my bike every night when I park the bike. I ride daily, but I plug the bike in anyway just to keep the battery fresh. Plus, the clock on my F4i does drain the battery ever so slightly. Not that it is actually going to completely drain the battery overnight. I just like to leave it charging in case I need to drive my truck for a week or something.

I use mine every few days. I keep the bike either on my porch or in the living room of my apartment and I have the quick connect hookup, so it's really just too easy not to hook it up. It keeps the battery topped off and will give you the most life out of your battery.

If it's not much of a hassle for you, I'd definitely do it. With your situation Kuro I'd hook up the quick connect thing you have and tuck it up inside the tail but I wouldn't worry about making a point to hook it up regularly.
