Unhappy Battery keeps going dead.

Before i go and spend more $$$ i got a question.... My battery died and i went and bought a new one and it worked just fine for about the hour i rode and then BAM that one died too. I charge the battery and it charges just fine so i am getting the feeling its the rectifier?? Anyone have any suggestions and its a 04 CBR 100RR.

I would bet money, since its an 04 1000RR, its the stator, not the rectifier. Call your dealer and see if your bikes serial number falls into the range of the bikes affected. Honda reissued a warranty extention for 5 additional years on the affected bikes. Any dealership should be able to look up and see for you.

If it has already been updated, you can check you stator by measuring across all 3 leads. they should all read the same and be around .7 ohms of resistance.

I dont recall their ever being a problem with the rectifiers on the 1000RR's, but its always a possibility, but I would check the stator first.
