2004 Wiring for a horn
Hey folks,
A buddies CBR 600rr has had its horn disconnected by the previous owner. We've taken the fairings apart and the wire from the switch appears to connect to a male/female style connector. However, the wire from the switch is to short to go anywhere. Is there a wire that is supposed to go to the horn as I would think logically.
Can anyone provide some insight as to how this horn is connected from the switch.
Best Regards

Not really much to tell, no more complicated than a lightbulb. Has two wires, a ground and a hot. A wire from the horn switch toggles to hot when you hit the horn, run that wire to one side of a horn, extend it if it's not long enough. The other side of the horn just goes to the common ground. Just figure out what wire gets hot when you hit the switch and run it to one side of the horn, ground the other side. Typically they mount to a bracket above the front wheel, above the radiator, near the bottom of the triple tree. Haven't actually looked for it on a 600rr but I'd be surprised if that's not where it's is.
see that is exactly what I thought. However, the way it was wired, it appeared someone made a splice between the connections and before being sold took out that one splice. I'll just get some wire and get it onto his horn. The 2 wires from the switch are black and the 2 going into the horn from the right side of the bike are green.
Thanks
