I 've had my KBC for 4 years. It's very comfortable and suprisingly doesn't stink for as much use as I've got of it (think putting on your helmet after leaving the gym). My only complaints are the weather stripping inside has come loose in parts, which creates a little extra wind and noise inside the helmet and the stock shield wore out after about 2 years, so it would flip open when looking over my shoulder on the highway. I got a new chrome shield a few months ago and problem solved. Other that that it's great.

i had the gunslinger kbc helmet. I have had GMAX, shoei, and a HJC. out of all my helmets the KBC was the ugliest. Im not a helmet tech and so I wont say my opinion on the noise, weight, and aerodynamics of the helmet but I can tell you the KBC was the fattest and ugliest helmet ever. hands down the sexiest helmet is my shoei. my shoei is solid red and it still kicks *** compared to all my helmets with graphics.

2 cents

for the $$ KBC's are great and comfortable. Not the quietest helmet on the market tho, least the models I've owned, a Force RR, and a TK-7.

Just make sure it get properly fitted to you head. I prefer SHOEI and mainly ARAI Helmets as they have more features and comfort that I look for in a Helmet.

It depends if it is a newer helmet or one that has been around for a bit. Which model SHOEI are you getting? Best fit for a helmet is actually measuring your head, because 9 out of 10 riders have the wrong size helmet. Which could mean the difference between a minor injury to a more severe one.

My ARAI was 900cnd which I thankfully didn't pay that much for. So, 250.00 isn't bad.
