Battery Charge setup
Question for ya all. I just got a new battery and I read on another post about making sure to charge it fully before using it for optimum life. I have a new charger and in the instructions, it talks about hooking it up with ground cables and all that stuff. Growing up on a farm, we just hooked the battery straight to the charger and never had any problems. What to you all do?
If it is a sealed type battery, fill it up with the acid pack and DO NOT SEAL IT ( if it is the type that has caps fill it up and dont cap it) then charge it by hookin it up wit hthe positive to positive and so on....after it is charged, seal it ( cap it) and install it..then go riding!!
Ok, I got the battery. It is a Koyo and it says that it comes already charged and ready to go. It is sealed and already has acid in it. Should I still put it on a charger for a little bit for the best life or just go with it?
Ok, now I have a new problem. I went to put the battery in and it is about 1/16 to 1/8 inch wider than the original battery but it is the correct one for my 2002 600 F4I. It is a Koyo and I got it off of motorcyclebatteriesusa.com. I am going to have to send it back unless anyone has any ideas. I fought that thing for about half an hour and could not get it to go in. Ideas?
