I have a 2000 cbr 600 f4, and i just recently changed the stator on it. If i take it on a long ride then once i return home and turn it off the battery is drained and wont start back up. Has anyone else had this problem? I was told it might be the regulator rectifier, but i dont know, and dont want to buy something i dont need.

 

almost always have to change the rectifier when you change stators. the rectifiers are a weak link on these and they usually go out together. do yourself a favor and buy/download the service manual. follow the instructions on testing your electrical system. There are way to many parts changers in the world and not enough mechanics.

 

Thanks, i believe my friend already has the manual on his computer. i will just get with him and go over the manual this weekend and see what i can find.
