Sweet it always make them look loads better when you chop the rear end. it does now need a good signal light upgrade.
on my f3 i have some oxford clear led signals they come with the balliest resistor so no need to replace the flasher unit, not sure if you guys get oxford equipment in the usa but here in the uk you can get them for about £25 to £35 pound and take all of 5 mins to fit as they come with plug connectors on so you unplug yours and plug in the new led ones. oxford also do the adaptors for your old ones so you dont need to fill or cut more off and they fit into the holes.
i will try and post up a picture of mine when i figure out how to do it.
hope this helps

I used a box knife, actually. :0) The first cut is a very slow and careful line-drawing to set the groove in the plastic and the subsequent slashes cut the groove deeper and deeper. After about 10 slides at the same groove, the plastic is cut. :0) Just have to make sure you don't mess up the first one and carefully make the cuts.
I thought about various turn signal options... but I think I'll keep the stock ones there. I shortened them (brought them closer to the body) following the instructions I found here, and it doesn't look too bad. :0) Plus, there won't be any "oh but I didn't see him, officer" excuses.
I'll take some more pics and upload later when I get home. :0)

Good job on cutting off that shovel.
Lose the bulky plate light (& bracket) to get an even cleaner look.
