Default Air/fuel screw adjustment

Hi everyone, I’ve been having trouble trying to find how to adjust the air/fuel screw. Everywhere I see that they need to be adjusted with The bike running. The problem i have is that I can’t figure out how to reach the screw (96 f3) with the engine hot and not burning my hand, and it’s been hard to find long tool with the d shape driver that’s not expensive and with 90 degree. Thanks

If you do a search for ‘D shaped carb tool’ you will get lots of returns for inexpensive options. Also some people claim to have had good luck with a .22 casing but I never had much luck that route.
Finally if all else fails if you are VERY careful you can use a thin blades hacksaw to cut a slot in the pilot screw. From there you can use a straight slot screwdriver. But there is no going back once you start. I have done this several times with success.

so how do you reach the carb adjusting screw, can’t reach them and the engine would be too hot to try and stick your hand in such a tight space. Thanks

You need to remove the tank and get at them from behind. It is still tricky and best done while wearing a glove but it can be done.
