99 F4 troubleshooting
so i bought a 99 f4 recently and i bought it with the intention of doing some work on it, it runs alright but not like my old f3 (ran outstanding). so maybe yall can help with the first couple problems.. to start i know the air filter needs to be replaced, the bike runs alright but it does some weird stuff like, from idle if i try and give it throttle from a dig it bogs and dies, when i ease off the clutch and keep my rpms up over 2k i can leave a light but if i tried to launch it it will die, also it feels like it lacks alot of power, when at speeds 120+ it feels as if maybe it starts suffering for fuel and kinda bucks and wont go over 130, it has no exhaust for the guy who sold it too me thought it sounded cooler with out it, i dont know alot about bikes but just like cars its good to have some kind of exhaust pressure right?
if i can just get it too wake up a little and figure out the bog off a start id be happy for now but you think it could be filter plus exhaust?? thanks for any help its much appreciated
has very very little lower rpm power as weelll thanks!

Not sure how many miles on the bike, but a good carburetor cleaning seems in order. Low end power is affected by the smaller jets and they get dirty the easiest. Air Fuel mixture can also affect that "just off idle response". I would certainly put something on for the exhaust. Being totally open isn't going to do anything for performance, but it certainly will be loud.
thanks, thats kinda what i was thinkin but i dont know too much about cabrs, if too expensive maybe ill give it a shot, sure theres a step by step tutorial somewhere i can try, i deff will get exhaust idk what the hell he was thinking but thanks again! ill give it a shot and see how it goes
I agree that a carb clean is prob in order. Further to the air filter change, be sure to change your fuel filter. While you're doing that, it would be a good time to test your fuel pump to make sure its GTG as well.
