I stored my bike for the winter and when i took it out, it didn't start. I charged the battery and it finally started after a lot of attempts but keeps shutting off.

What happens now is that the bike shuts off if i don't give it throttle above 5000 rpm. It also makes a popcorn type of sound. Does that mean i gotta change the spark plugs or what?

 

Good place to start, condensation gets into fuel after storage, so chuck in some fresh fuel as well.
Problem may correct itself once the cobwebs get blown away.
