95 CBR 600 POOR PERFORMANCE AFTER 40 MPH
I JUST BOUGHT A 95 CBR 600 F3. WHEN I GOT THE BIKE IT RAN FINE FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS.AFTER RIDING 4 2 OR SO HOURS THE HEAD LIGHT STOPPED WORKING.I REPLACED THE BULB, THAT WAS'NT IT.I THOUGHT THE HARNESS WENT BAD SO I WIRED THE LIGHT 2 A SWITCH AND GOT POWER FROM THE BAT. THEN THE REAL PROBLEM STARTED!!!!!RIDING HOME THE BIKE STARTED 2 FEEL LIKE IT WAS RUNNING OUT OF GAS AFTER ABOUT 40 MPH. I PARKED IT THAT NIGHT,THE NEXT DAY RODE IT A LITTLE AND IT RAN FINE. I TOOK IT OUT 2 OR 3 MORE TIMES ON SHORT RUNS AND IT SEEMED FINE. I REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP AND FILTER THINKING THAT WAS THE PROBLEM.AFTER THAT I RODE IT FOR A GOOD WHILE 3 OR 4 HOURS, STOPPED AT FRIENDS HOUSE FOR BOUT 1 HOUR AND ON THE RIDE HOME IT STARTED AGAIN.ITS A FEELING OF NOT GETTING FUEL. ITS AT THE SHOP NOW GETTING REJETTED AND CLEANED. IF THAT DOES'NT WORK WHAT ELSE SHOULD I CHECK.U THINK IT COULD BE ELECTRICAL??????ANY HELP ON THE WOULD BE GREATLLY APP. THANX

I would more than likely say something may be getting stuck and or sticking on the carbs, i would make sure the entire carb is being cleaned and replacing any worn hardware, also may want to get the coils checked, i dont think it's the problem but it's possible, i would also find a replacement for the headlight, running aftermarket wires can get in the way/ may cause problems, check the continuity from the harness to a certain point of the wire and so forth.

thanx! I JUST GOT MY BIKE BACK FROM THE SHOP. IT RAN GOOD THE FIRST NIGHT, BUT ON THE SECOND NIGHT IT STARTED TO RUN BAD AGAIN. THE CARBS WERE CLEANED AND SOME PARTS IN THE CARBS WERE REPLACED AND THE PROBLEM IS STILL THERE. IT ONLY HAPPENS AT HIGH SPEEDS. I GUESS I'LL CHECK THE IGNITION SYSTEM NEXT.

sometimes on carburated bikes, from my experience can be affected by the on/off/res, sometimes they run better in reserve, check the electrodes on the plugs, but sounds electrical to me, that **** can be somewhat of a pain in the ***, could have something to do with the stator/ cdi or whatever your system runs, good luck
