Have not open yet and check, but...is it usual itīs enough to replace only the tensior, or is it usual also have to replace chain, slides or something else on this model?

 

Yes, if your bike is making the b.b.'s rattling in a can noise then just the tensioner gets replaced. You'll also need the gasket for it.

bbs are the little ***** that are used in air powered guns. if you shake them in a metal can it sounds like what you would hear if you have a bad tensioner

Yes, I hear the bbs rattle, but only sometimes and mostly not when the engine is cold. I remember long time ago when I had an old CBR 1000F and it rattle first when it was cold. After a year it sounds also when the Engine was warm...ment it was a Little bit hurry to replace.

Well, I open just for the valves and was surprised, screws(yes, Iīve download the manual here, but not yet open it, I will). I suposed I will found shims because I was on this site(Wemoto where they have a notice on shim for this model) Honda CBR 600 FH 87 Parts at Wemoto - The UK's No.1 On-Line Motorcycle Parts Retailer

Iīll check the valves, maybe the rattle comes from the valves and then take of the tensior and try to check out it. If it not works as I want I replace it.

Well, I Clean and adjust the carbs



And adjust the valves


Especially the valves explained why the bike had some startingproblems
I also check the tensior, but what I found it worked well


So, now the CBR work well and starts good
