30 MPH low-side worry?
Hi. New to the forums so what's up? I'm interested in buying this 2001 red/white F4i. It has 5k miles, all stock, and the only problem is that it low-sided at 30mph. The guy replaced everything which was damaged which was only the right side fairing and brake lever.
My questions is:
Should I be worried about the frame or anything else internal being damaged?
Everything else on the bike is cool but a small scratch on the stock pipe, but that will get replaced eventually... Any info will be greatly appreciated.

this isn't the only advice you need, but ask him some test questions to gauge his honesty. if you decide he's willing to lie, there's nothing to keep him from lying about his bike. a buddy on another forum low sided his r1, and the bike slid into a curb and bent the forks. he replaced the new forks, and the front wheel wouldn't mount up, because it was touching the header. he replaced the frame and sold it as a salvaged, rebuilt bike, but he could have been dishonest and tried to pass it off as perfect. that to say, a small crash (and 30mph is moving) can cause substantial damage. 30mph into a curb could have demolished the bike, or 30mph on wet asphalt could have taken off some paint. all that said, i probably wouldn't pay more than 3000 for it anyway. i got my flawless 03 600rr for 4900 with 6700 miles. what's he asking for his f4i?
Best thing is to ask a ton of questions.See ifthe bike sat for a long time while he made repairs. If so, internally expect it todo some simple maintenence (oilmay be corroded). Frame is pretty strong so if there are no dents or dings the integrity of it may be okay but take it to a shop if you really questionit or the forks. Check the rearto see if the subframe and rear tire look straight. If the guy kept everything stock and that is true mileage he more then likely just cruised and did not dog it out. If its a good deal go for it.
Don't get impatient. There are quite a few F4i's out there. They're very popular and get snatched up quick, though. But don't hurry yourself into a decision you might regret. Do it right the first time around and it will save you a lot of worries.
