i just bought a 1996 cbr f3 600. i put a fresh battery in it and hooked it up to a battery jumper and the bike will not crank it just clicks like it has a dead battery. i tried a different stater relay off of my other cbr and it did the same thing. if someone could please give me a direction i should go or what to check next.

 

Check your battery voltage. Have it tested for a bad cell.

 

i know its not the battery it works in my other bike. its almost like there is a resistance in the wiring

 

Well then, check for voltage drop throughout the starting system.

 

i just pulled out the starter gear and it was wearing down at my engine block do you know what could cause this or how to fix it

 

Wait, you're sure the bike was running previously? The motor's not locked up, is it?
