Hey guys, I've had a couple of back fusions and haven't been able to take care of my bike. Went to crank it with knowing it had old gas in it over a year (stupid I know) hoping she would crank up and I could run her for awhile. Well of coarse it didn't crank luck having it! I drained the gas and still will not crank. Brand new and charged battery, the fuel pump is engaging, so will it probably be the plugs. Or have I clogged up the fuel filter too? And can I clean the plugs or just buy new ones? Thanks guys for any help...

 

does it not crank, or crank but wont start? BIG difference.

 

Yeah, is the starter spinning the motor? If the motor spins, but won't fire, then it's either plugs or fuel injectors. Only way to tell is pull the plugs. If they are wet with fuel, then you know it's the plugs.

 

yeah sorry guys,spinning but not firing. If its the injectors is there any way of cleaning them up and not having to buy new ones?

 

I'm with Moosestang, I would think it to be the plugs or injectors. How bad did the gas look that was in the tank? I would go ahead and change your plugs anyways and that would let you see what's going on with it.

 

Ok I got the NGK plugs on order and will give it a try when they come in. Haven't had the time yet to even yank the old ones out yet to see what they look like. I'll give it a try here soon and keep you guys posted. thanks for your time on this......
