Default 1996 CBR 1000F Problem

I just brought a 1996 Honda CBR 1000F for my husband as a anniversary gift as he always wanted one. Now you would think he would love it but just got chewed out because it had CA emissions on it which I asked the owner from OR and said not that he knew. Well he finally got the bike today in WI and he hates it because it has CA emissions on it and thinks it is slow and that it has small carbs due to it being a CA bike. Is this true and is there a way to change this or remove the CA canister?

Please help because I really do not want to try and find another bike. I went thru five different bikes to find one that was stock and did not have damage.

Thank you from a wife who can't win and is now in the dog house.

Wow! You really must love him, 'cause my first reaction was keep the bike, get rid of the husband!!

If someone bought me a bike...............I'd be in seventh heaven.

I can't imagine it would be too difficult, but it does depend on what was done to the carbys.

Now, being down in Australia, I can't answer your question easily, sorry, but I expect one of the very knowledgable forum members such as Sprock, Indy, Woof, Hueristic, TimBucTwo, Shadow, Naga etc will be along soon.

4,3,2,1.........................

Cheers, SB
