Guys i really need some help/advice on what to do with my clutch lever. every since i got my bike about 3 weeks ago the clutch lever was loose like its downward not upright like the brake lever. anyways like 2 days ago i guess that started having its effect when i go to start it up. i turn the ignition on, choke, engine on, and then when i press the clutch and electric start nothing at all.. im pretty sure it's because the clutch is loose. should i just tighten it up myself and see if that works out?
There should be 2 wires that go up to the clutch lever. They go to a switch,
to prevent the bike from starting in gear, with the clutch engaged.
If the lever is messed up it might not be pressing the switch.
Try starting the bike in neutral.
That said, I would get the lever repaired and/or adjusted to operate properly.
Replacement if too badly damaged. Otherwise you risk damaging the transmission,
from trying to shift without proper dis-engagement of the drive-train.
Good luck, Ern
