Now that was clearly uncalled for. I can see you're new here and may not realize that we are here to help. HenryM is one of the most helpful and knowledgable members here. I believe he was just asking a simple question which seemed reasonable to me. He certainly would not have been aware that you were switching the entire set up. A simple response would have sufficed.
What year 1000RR did the switch assembly come from ? The starter buttons normally control 2 different circuits, the starter naturally, and the headlight. It makes sense for 4 wires, however it could be done with 3 if they used a common ground. But to answer that we'd need to look at a wiring diagram for the correct year 1000RR. Do you have a copy one ?

I dont need the headlight wire which is Blue/white. If that helps at all? I was thinking if i connected the ground to blue/white on the 1000rr starter button if that would work? I didn't want to do that until i talked to someone about it. Thanks for your help guys. If you guys need any more info let me know. All I know is that the Black/red and Yellow/red goes to the same places on both bikes.

On the F4i, there is a connection between the Black/Red wire and the Blue/White wire while the Starter Switch is not pressed. There is no connection between the Black wire and the Yellow/Red wire as well.
When you press the Starter switch, the connection between the Black/Red wire and the Blue/White wire is opened and the Black wire is closed to the Yellow/Red wire. This is the Starter Relay circuit.
On the 1000RR, The Black/red wire is switched between the two other wires depending on whether the Starter Button is pressed or not. The Yellow/Red wire is for the Starter Relay. You only need to attach the Black/Red wire and the Yellow/Red wires if you're only interested in the Starter circuit.

So your saying i would be able to just use a switch with a momentary button and attach the black/red and yellow/red together so when i press it, it acts as the starter button? I plan on just connecting the kill switch wires together so its always on. This is on a stunt bike. That is why I am going through all of this hassle. Thanks for the info and help. Greatly appreciated!
