Handlebar Start/Kill Switch

Handlebar Start/Kill Switch
So I was recently in a crash at the track and did some damage to the right side controls and master cylinder. The master cylinder repairswere a breeze, but I've run into a snag with the right side handlebar start/kill switch housing.
First of all, I had to lift the tank and airbox to get to the wiring harness for that switch. Secondly - does anyone know of an easy way to disconnect the throttle cables so I can get the damn thing off? Do I really have to remove the throttle cable assembly from the throttle body? I'm hoping to avoid completely removing the gas tank and airbox for a frickin' handlebar switch.

RE: Handlebar Start/Kill Switch
Why would you drop your forks? why not take your upper triple tree off and pull the clip on from there? As far as the throttle cables im not exactly sure but it does look like they would have to come off from the throttle bodies. Looks easier to remove from the throttle bodies then from the clip on.

na, take off the clip on(remove upper triple tree and side it off), slide the throttle tube and buttons off the end of the bar, twist the throttle and take out the first cable from the tube, work the other one around and pop it out, unscrew from the bottom of the switch assembly and blam your done, getting it back together is the harder part lol have fun with that. I did it, so can you.
