Default "-1 front sprocket"???

Hey, so I'm in the market for a used 2004 CBR 600 RR and was reading the author's description of the bike. Everything looked good until I saw "-1 Front Sprocket, new RK racing chain/sprocket". Should the "-1 front sprocket" part cause concern, or should I just call him up and ask him.

Thanks a lot!

It means that the stock front sprocket has been replaced with a sprocket that has one less tooth on it.

what's the purpose of doing it? just so the front tire will spin at a different speed?

Well its just for better acceleration.

No, the front sprocket is on the tranny. There aren't any sprockets on the front wheel.
