Default 03' CBR600rr Spark Plug choice

Hi all,
just checking out E-Bay and Amazon for sparkplugs for my 03' CBR600rr. I see some listings for NGK IMR9C-9HES and NGK IMR9C-9HE plugs. Can I use either in my bike? And what does the "s" stand for?

Thanks,
bill

The NGK IMR9C-9HE is the standard plug for your bike. The "s" only means stainless steel crushable gasket. Check with your local auto parts store like Advance Auto to get plugs cheaper? They can special order the exact plug for your bike and have it the next day.

So I can't use the "s" version plug (with stainless steel washer) in my bike.
Thanks!
You just saved me from ordering the wrong plugs!!

Cheers,
bill

I also cross-referenced with Denso Iridiums as well. They are cheaper in price, but are they as good as the NGK Iridium?

Thanks,
bill

I would stay with the NGK's but Denso are still good. I just like staying with whatever Honda used from the factory. These plugs are Long Life Laser Iridiums as I recently changed them in my 954 and which uses almost the same plug. My plugs had over 20k on them and still looked great. I guess that's why Honda recommends changing them at 32k miles. I paid under $10 per plug from Advance Auto Parts so how cheap are you finding the Denso's?

Advance Auto Parts doesn't carry them. Didn't seem to be able to order them either.
Anyone know where in Portland, ME. I can get these spark plugs?

Thanks,
bill
