yeah yeah, I know it's called CBRforums.. but it seems like no one has ever thought of a chatroom for here.. I think you can get a free Java one (cant remember the site), but it's up to ya.. just a suggestion

I mentioned this to Patrick and it's a cost issue among other things. The free chat programs that I read about are for personal web sites. The other thing is it's a lot of work to run and monitor chat rooms.

Great suggestion but wouldn't work well here.

the reason that we dont have one yet, is because at a forum of this size, with members scattered all over the country...so the time difference is an issue, so if people dont use it, it becomes a waste of money...while we are a good sized forum, i also belong to 2 forums with almost 30,000 members each, and at one forum, no one EVER used it...and at the other one, we typically have a few people, and they are always the same people...

it is something that is being considered as the forum grows...

 

no i completly understand... guess i can start converting people, like those missionaries on their bikes reading stories to people. but i will just have a faster bike muhaha

 

I like this idea, The local site that I use has a SHOUT BOX same as a chat room Check it out. I think it would be a nice addition.
