Wiring Help
So I just finished wiring up my hotbodies flush mounts. I wired them up with the diodes so they would also work as running lights and everything works fine. The problem is that when I hooked up my rear turn signals (non l.e.d.) and activate my turn signals say to the left, the rear left turn signal wont work at all and the the front wont work either. Then when I deactivate it the front works fine again as a running light. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for the help

RE: Wiring Help
Yeah I think I might have mixed up the wires when i was soldering my tailights together I find it hard to believe that I would do it twice but anything can happen. Hopefully thats what it is because that would be the easiest fix, and if not Ill go through all the wiring up front

RE: Wiring Help
Ok so i checked over all my wiring and evertying checked out ok, so i took of the diodes and still have the same problem. The running lights work up front but the turn signals wont work at all front or rear. All my fuses are good so i really cant figure out whats goin on. Could it be my relay?

RE: Wiring Help
If you get your wiring wrong once you can short out = burn out stuff. It would be useful to see if the turn signals are getting powered.
To check this, disconnect the turn signal wire from both front and back, take a multimeter and put it to the turn signal wire and ground in voltage mode, and switch on the turn signal. You should see the display change i.e. increase, decrease, increase, decrease. If this doesnt work put one of the 8 ohm resistors across the multimeter and check again.
If you see a changing voltage, means at least your relay is doing ok. Then it's just the diodes/signals. Sure you got the diodes connected in the right polarity?

RE: Wiring Help
Alright so I figured out what was goin on with my rear turn signals. Turns out that when I installed the actual turn signal itself I was twisting it aka screwing it into the hole because it was just a tad to small. When I did this the wires inside the signal crossed each other causing them to short circuit. So when I activated the turn signals the rears would short out and thus cut out the front. Thanks for the help!
