Any wiring f4i wiring junkies out there??
OK here is my problem. I am transplanting a honda f4i into a yamaha raptor. I hate to know how long that I have looked at that wiring harness from the honda f4i service manual. Here is what I have done and my symptoms. The ecu has power and all the right grounds. Both the fuel cut relay and the engine stop are wired correctly because using the stock wiring harness. I did have to take the engine stop relay to ground in place of the bank angle sensor. When I turn the unit on the fuel pump relay doesn't energize, needs the ecu to ground the relay. Also the FI light just stays lit. The engine relays also have there 5 v like they are suppose to, so I know the unit is turned on. I have also grounded the switch so that the ecu thinks the kickstand is down. I thought that my problem would be solved by putting 9 v to the pink wire off the ignition switch but this didn't help either. I don't know what to do and I have also tried two ecu's with the same symptoms. When I crank the bike over, the coils have power but don't spark. ANy ideas?? This is driving me mad!!!

Just to let everyone know, I figured out my problem if you use a 2.2 k ohm resistor from a 12v supply to the pink wire off the ignition switch it will work like a charm. I was using a diode to drop voltage to 9 volts but the resistor is the right fix.

Hey, i will be putting an 01 f4i motor in a banshee. what did you do with the angle sensor. do you ground or leave open for the circuit to be complete. i cant quite tell from the diagram (poor dirty copy). it looks like it must rest at ground to energize the coil. is this correct?
