winterizing help

Default winterizing help

i have an 01 f4i. and im getting mixed information on how to winterize my bike and i just wanted to ask you guys here since i always manage to get the correct answers for everything i ask here.

i pretty much want to know what i need to do to get my bike ready and what things i could do but arent "required"

im new at winterizing if you havent guessed already. i just got my bike back in august so im learning new things everyday and since ive signed up for this site ive leanred alot more.

thanks for you help



also what kind of oil and filter should i use when i change my oil thanks again

oil change, fuel stabilizer, check fluid levels, put up on stands, cover with blanket, cry because you cant ride

Also fill gas tank to avoid condensation on inside. I use mobil 1 MX4T oil (suppose to help with high rev engines like ours, my filter I buy at wal-mart). Since u aren't riding right now use this time to pop fairing off and check thins out. Also check condition of air-cleaner. Warm weather will be hear before we're ready usually.

thanks guys. my girlfriend bought me stands for an early birthday present so as soon as they get here im going to winterize my bike.
