Default Winter Projects, Time to get off my ***

Spring is in the air (not really) but it is most definitely time to get off my *** and start my winter projects. Trex Front and Rear stands on order to replace my ghetto 2X4 Homemade stand getup. Got my StarCom bike communicator. Just ordered black Vortex Sliders. I've picked up supplies to craft a fiberglass rear seat cowl ('05 single seat) I'll be posting pics of the process, probably not a full HowTO. I learned my fiber/bondo/foam skills doing custom car stereoso i have hopes that it will come out well (never did my own painting though so that will be a learning experience) Shopping around for the best looking flushmounts. Going to clean up the undertail hack the previous owner performed. Has anyone ground down the "Manual Holder" under the seat to gain a little more storage?

Things still up in the air:
Bar Ends- one fell off. Should i replace with stockers or look for something special? maybe a throttle lock?
Sprocket Change- I have decided that -1+2 is where i will be going. But i would like to stick with a 525 chain as i will be doing several 1500+ mile road trips this summer. Little to no access to a stand for adjustments sooo i would like the extended life/reliability of the heavier chain. Trouble is i can't find any 525 "kits" so to speak. Everyone is 520 with the sprockets i want. Anyone know a good site to buy from? I'd like to buy it packaged rather than pieced to save some cash.
Has anyone ever put a car lighter socket on thier bike? Id like to be able to plug my GPS in for longer rides rather than rely on the battery, and to charge my cell phone.

Credit card in hand ordering ****

I'll have pics posted here as stuff arrives and is installed

Yea Worcester haha. Try http://www.sprocketcenter.com/

For bar ends id probably get some made of delrin so it just slides, if u dont have frame sliders get those too.
I will be doing bar ends, frame slider, new tires, rear seat and hardware. New helmet and 2 piece suit and boots look like they might be coming too haha

Yes we def should. I feel like riding around watching all these videos and looking at stuff to buy. Ive raised my bike back to factory height so should give me a bit more confidence while cornering which is why i was afraid last season. Need a lot more seat time too gotta get my form

as for a cigarette lighter, you can buy one at almost any auto parts store that just has two wires to connect to your battery, and then a screw or two to mount it somewhere. i have one in my car and it works just fine.

Well it's been bike week here in my garage. So far i have cleaned up the undertail in my own version of the FE. I have started a fiberglass rear seat cowl, cut off my old chain, installed new front and rear sprockets, put in some vortex sliders. Still waiting on the bar ends and the windscreen to arrive. I have however managed to blow up the nifty bike communicator pictured below. In a moment of stupidity after having it all hooked up, i plugged it back in only to realize that i plugged the power in the 12 volt out on the unit! Oh well back it goes. Anyone have and pointers on cleaning the black road mess out from under my bike and in the sprocket cover?

**edit** can anyone see the pictures i put in here?
