I shut off my bike via the kill switch and removed the key. Suddenly the engine started turning over like it was trying to start. It wouldn't quit. I messed with the starter switch to make sure it wasn't stuck. I played with the kill switch.

I put the key back in and turned the kill switch on and she started right up. So I drove home. Same thing when I got home. I pulled the battery. to make it quit.

I spent about an hour checking wires for continuity with my ohm meter. I finally came to the starter relay which registers a dead short. I'm guessing it is stuck open, thus causing my starting issue??

BTW, I checked the kill switch, the ignition switch, and the start switch. They are functioning exactly as they should.

Anyone else ever have this? Is it the relay? I don't really have a lot of money right now and I don't want to buy a $40 part if it is something else.
