finally put the bike back together after adding a pcIII and audi lights and i tried starting it and it didnt start so i thought the battery died. so i charged it for a day and then tried to start it and as it tried to start the battery kept dying but after holding the start button down for awhile it eventually started. Test ride. shut it off come back no problems. try to start it an hour later battery is dead again. I charged it again and same symptoms. The battery is holding a charge, i cant seem to find a short or a drain on the system, any ideas what could be wrong? Rectifier? Maybe the battery is holding a charge but dead? Thanks guys

 

never mind. so it ended up being a dead battery. just a note to everyone and things i would suggest not to skimp on is a battery. brought a cheap battery and i paid the price. spend the extra $30 and get a battery that will last more than 8 months
