alright, this is the most n00b question ever, but everyone else seems to know this besides me...what exactly IS a CCT? what does it stand for and what does it do? all ive heard is about problems with it, and from what ive read, im starting to think mines rattling too...but, then again , i have no idea what it is...lol...also, where is it located on a 06f4i?

Cam Chain Tensioner. It's an auto adjusting tensioner that helps keep a constant pressure on the cam chain to prevent chain lash inside the engine. It presses a delrin part against the chain. You don't have anything to worry about on your '06. As far as I understand, they did a redesign in the last few model years, so it should be good. I had over 8k on mine and never had any noise.
